It would be difficult indeed to get to the age that I am without already knowing how the story here goes. Thanks to the several adaptations for both cinema and television, and even Warner Brothers cartoons ("I will love him and pet him and call him George,") I knew the bones of the story and, thanks to my memory of the 1992 film, the ending.
