Quite different from Christie's typical style, more like a Mary Stewart book.

This is a stand alone from Christie and is really a physiological thriller as opposed to a who-dun-it. We meet Mike Rogers viewing a plot of land called Gypsy’s Acres that is up for sale. He dreams of being able to own it and to build a wonderful new house upon it. He sees a pretty, young woman also interested in the land and talks to her about what he is daydreaming about. This was Agatha Christie at her best. Hugh Fraser's narration was top notch, as always. It's so different from Agatha's normal novel. It reminds me much more of And Then There Were None. I can't recommend it enough!!@

I haven't decided how, or even if, to rate this book. It is well written and well plotted, but not a style of book I like. I completed it only because it is by Christie, one of my favorite authors, and it was a group read.
