Almost a closed room/house mystery, complete with a map of the apartment concerned, a cast of eccentric characters, and a love story, as well as the intelligence of DCI Alleyn, Insp Fox, and the forensic gang. You need your wits about you to follow Alleyn’s impeccable logic, and a strong stomach to enjoy the various methods of fatality that occur.
