Wonderful listen to all the stories in this book of short stories.
Still definitely a 4 star book, especially when read by the wonderful Joan Hickson.

So, recently when reading a book with a collection of short stories, I commented briefly, story by story, so here we go:-
The Tuesday Night Club
The initial meeting of the club, at which Miss Marple is almost an afterthought, discusses the poisoning of a housewife, but who could have done it as everyone

Enjoyed a re-read.

Very rarely do I really like short stories, but this coherent and character-establishing book of thirteen Miss Marple stories was an exception. Well-written, lots of sly humour at the characters involved. A set of six murder cases narrated at a meeting at Miss Marples', then six more at her friend Dolly Bantry's. I don't often read short stories, but I really enjoyed these which all feature Miss Marple. Apart from one story, they all involve a group of people including Miss Marple who have met for the evening and are swapping stories about unsolved crimes they have encountered. Of course, Miss Marple solves them all! I enjoyed this aspect of the book as it provided a thread running through the stories and touched on the characters of several people who reoccur in the Miss Marple novels.

Each story has an interesting solution. What I like the most is all the characters tell their mystery stories to others and ask for who did it. It is Miss Marple who solves the puzzle in the end. I recommend this books for all those readers who like short stories version of Agatha Christie!

Simply put Ms. Marple is like chicken soup for the mystery readers soul! If I could have dinner with a fictional character it would be Ms. Marple
