This was my first time reading this classic novella! I had previously seen the Tim Burton and Disney movies inspired by the story. I was surprised and delighted to find that it is a very autumnal story with Halloween feels. So. Much. Description.
Tom Mison brings the same mix of humor and slightly pompous gravitas to his narration of Irving's story that he does to his performance of Ichabod Crane on "Sleepy Hollow." It's just delightful.

Not what I was expecting for some reason, but enjoyable! I'd be interested to look into irving's other work.

DNF. I got through the first two stories, including Sleepy Hallow and honestly I am so bored I have no interest reading any more.
