There are a lot of punk memoirs glutting the market these days, all promising to give you the most frankest of accounts on punk history, the REAL punk history, and many of them are frankly a big disappointment. Then came Viv.

This is one of the best and most accurate memoirs of 1977 punk I've read, and yes I was there . It's to her credit that the most fascinating parts of the book aren't about Sid Vicious, Mick Jones or Vivienne Westwood, but about her wild women from Wongo band, The Slits. Read
