This book is not about zombies, well not just about zombies. It is about having your illusions ripped away. It is about growing up and realizing that what you thought was true about the world is not true. It is about coming to know who you are as a person and who those around you are. It is about finding out that the true heroes in the world are not those that go around bragging loudly about their courageous deeds, but those that quietly do what needs to be done without thought for reward or ...more

Rot and Ruin was a very suspenseful novel . I really liked the fact that the plot focused on how important it is to understand humanity and to be kind and humane to all creatures. This book brought fourth many emotions, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys apocalyptic suspense stories and a deep emotional punch! :)

If you enjoy zombie books you'll find this one interesting. It isn't just about killing and mayhem. This one looks at relationships within families and takes a look at social constructs and the theme of right and wrong.

This is another book that I read long ago so I could "sell" it to my middle schoolers. Even though I loved it, I never read the rest of the books. That changes this summer!!
