This book is set around twenty years after To kill a Mocking Bird, but is thought to have written before to kill a mocking bird.

I found it an easy read, and though not as intense as Lee's Mocking Bird, but this was more attuned to the mindset of the Down South people there. Atticus is a just person, and though he does not believe in racial discrimination, yet, feels that the power should not go to the heads of the Black. Was he right or wrong, is not the question..
