This is an amazing, amazing book. The book features various fairy tales (one per 2 page spread) i.e., Snow White, Rapunzel, the Ugly Duckling, etc. There are two poems on each page. The second poem is a "mirror" image of the first one in that it is the exact reversal of the first poem. It is hard enough to write a good poem but to write one that can be read in two directions?! Very fun!
A gift from my cousin to the boys as they start to jump into the longer bedtime stories of fairy tales and myths. Interesting idea of poems that can be reversed. Some even shift the point of view of the speaker. Could be used as entry way into fairy tale genre study or setup for lower readers. Will be useful in writing from multiple perspective while playing with language.
