This book was so lovely and wonderful. It has that timeless feel of the best children's books like E. B. White or Katherine Applegate. I can see myself recommending this to families 20 years from now as a readaloud. I'll be sharing it with my own daugther in a year or two as a readaloud.

Peter Brown, author/illustrator of CREEPY CARROTS, MY TEACHER IS A MONSTER, and MR. TIGER GOES WILD has written his first middle grade novel. Roz the Robot is shipwrecked on a deserted island, well...not really deserted, lots of animals live there. She must learn to live in the wild. Kids will like this one. Cute animals, evil attack robots, and a lot of science to boot.
How could I fall in love with a robot and a goose? Again I wasn't expecting to love this book but I did. The community of animals and support for each other in tough circumstances was perfect. I was a little sad with the ending. However a mother would do anything for her son, correct?

Great audio book! Makes you think about the possibilities of robots. The anthropomorphisizing of the animals bugged me but I don't think it would bother most people. I plan on listening or reading the second book.

I enjoyed the premise of this book. I listened to it on Audio Book so it seemed a little slow and repetitive at times. But overall, I liked it. Upper elementary to Middle School
My children (elementary age) and I struggled to decide if we recommend this book or not. It starts very slowly - although the descriptions are vivid and the plot is unique and thus kept our attention. The story became suddenly riveting around 22o pages in (a long time for a young reader) and then we couldn't put it down. Although the words at the end are hopeful, we all were left feeling doubtful and even hopeless. I'm glad that Peter Brown shared "A Note About The Story" at the end as it would
