SLOB is a book with a good heart, even if it has a slightly confusing set of characters and plot lines.

Slob is a really well written book. The main character has had extremely difficult changes two years ago. He's trying to build a machine that can see in to the past,and his oreo cookies keep getting stolen.

This book features a fat kid that is a genius. (cut that- actually 1 point away from a genius.) Uhhh....... yeah.

I can see the appeal of the hapless hero narrative for middle grade male readers, but I found this book slow. Halfway through I lost interest and couldn't tell what central storyline was going to develop. ...more
