The story was alright but there were so many things that I really disliked about the book. I would not let my teen read this book. There was underage drinking, gambling, pre-marital sex, tons of swearing, which are all topics and ideas I don't want to be putting into my teen's head. ...more

Reality Check is a mystery that begins slowly. In fact, I wasn't sure what genre it was going to be until the end of chapter 7. It startes out like a sports novel, which will appeal to male readers. Cody lives in a small town in Colorado. He's the quintessential golden boy, star quarterback, dating the prettiest, smartest, and richest girl in town, and a genuinely nice, good guy. But Clea's family has other plans for their accomplished daughter and don't want her thinking that Cody is her future ...more

Cody is not the smartest guy around. He still manages to get passing grades though. Cody’s unmatchable skill on the football field will surely take him to college. Cody is also dating Clea. In hopes of keeping the couple from starting anything serious, Clea’s father sends her away to a boarding school across the country. On top of that, Cody’s world is turne ...more

This book was exciting but not terrific. I enjoyed Cody, the main character, but a lot of questions were left unanswered, especially concerning the details of Clea's abduction. I'm wondering if Abrahams did that so that he could write a sequel, which I'm going to research. However, as a stand-alone title, I didn't think this one was that tremendous, only entertaining. Down the Rabbit Hole by Abrahams is a much stronger book. ...more

This book is probably a good boy's read but it did nothing for me. I am passing on this one because it did nothing for me. ...more

Hero appears slow but is obviously smarter than people realize... I always enjoy books by this author.
