sooooo LOVED this book!
Maybe I am just parital to cyber-punk, but a lot of times it is not done well. Here, it started out like I would expect, with a lot of high tech gadgetryinvolved in trying to deliver a pizza, but as things progressed I found myself thinking about the dissemination of languages, the prevalence of profit over creativity, how messed up government logic is, and the binary code. This book had moments of greatness equal to moments of "meh". I feel like he's a good writer because when I got to the parts that I enjoyed there was no prying this book out of my hands. However, I feel like he wandered around a bit with extra details I don't think added much to the story. I attribute the "mehness" mainly to the fact that this is probably the second book I've read in the cyberpunk subgenre. I can see why people enjoy his work and this is certainly worth ...more
