Rounded up from 4.5/5. I really enjoyed the book. Initially, I ridiculed the idea of the society being portrayed, but the author described it with so much depth, through character building/etiquette and some world building, that it became both immersive and believable. The story has a "slow" beginning, but when the main theme of the story (no spoilers here) begins, the author really creates both an entertaining and "gripping" storyline that has excellently placed cliffhangers and surprises/bombs
