I found Freya to be really annoying and it definitely hindered my enjoyment of this book. I kept waiting for the MC to stand up for herself or actually use her brain to formulate an opinion, but alas, it wasn’t to be. It’s set in Scotland too, so it didn’t have that fantasy worldbuilding and scene setting that I loved from The Bridge Kingdom and convinced me I just had to read this book.
