“The days to come will only grow darker. And when you find something good? You hold on to it. You don't waste time worrying about things that won't even matter in the end. Rather, you take a risk for that light.”

I loved every single character in their own way. The world-building was so good that I feel like I could find my way around these places on my own. Just beautiful. I'm definitely going back to read more of this author's work now.

Happening in a mythical world that Gods have awaken from deep sleep and are fighting each other to the death of all mortal beings,
In a Victorian time,
It's about two rivals for a position as a journalist. They are magically connected and fall in love, obviously.
I love the writing, and the setting, but the characters are so cliche. A very handsome, rich, talented, boy and a very poor, pitiful, hardworking girl.
I don't understand why they fall in love! I think it's mostly through their Twitter (X) ...more
