4 stars. That ending got me fucked up! WHAT?! This book was leaps and bounds better than book one. I was absolutely hooked. The drama! The action! The angst! So. Good! Violet has really grown on me. I love that she holds Xaden accountable and holds him to the fire instead of just forgiving him for everything. She knows how to hold her own and stand up for herself and she’s incredibly selfless. I really do like her character a lot now.
The elephant in the room (because I’m dramatic af) is Xaden. ...more

I am not happy with the ending, at all. It is unoriginal, and it is all becoming a tad "too much". I also think that the book is overlong. Mind me, it is a long book that reads like a shorter one, it didn't take me long at all to read it, and that's quite a big plus, but I think that a shorter book per se would have been better. We also have some plot holes and some things that work better if you close an eye here and there.

What can I say about Iron Flamr that has not already been said? There is a clear change in atmosphere between iron flame and fourth wing. In the first part of the book, a lot happens, but at the same time, a lot does not happen. We meet more of the flyers, but we are introduced to new challenges that face the second year's as well as New people who hate violet and want her dead.

She did it again! *wants to throw book but realizes it’s a Nook and not rich* Bagh!!
Ok so most of this book felt redundant to me but I understand the build up logically. Emotionally I wanted to tear through at least 250 pages and shake people but a reaction is a reaction lol. The number of tears I cried were more than I expected and I want more chapters from other POV. There were a few things I thought were gonna happen and that ending was.not.it! In the best and worst ways. Loved this book!
