following the events of the final gambit, avery and the hawthorne brothers find themselves on new missions. grayson is doing his best to take care of his half-sisters. jameson is working on a challenge from his father. this raises questions of what they’re willing to sacrifice to win.

3 stars. I think this new installment, while unnecessary, is definitely better than the original series. And that all comes down to the fact that we’re no longer following Avery and are focused solely on the point of views of the Hawthorne boys which I find that I prefer. The plot of this series overall is still so incredibly silly but this one was fun and definitely kept me interested. My Grade: DNF the Grayson chapters.
C+ for the Jameson chapters.
B- for flashbacks and any joint chapters.

So I read all of the Jameson chapters, the flashbacks and the first and last few chapters of Graysons (only because those closed up the entirety of the novel and I pretty much had to read it.)

The Good Stuff:
-The Jameson chapters had some fun puzzle moments that were similar to the first two books.
-Flashbacks were good to read.

I fell in love with this series after reading The Inheritance Games. The next book was good, and the third was ok. This one? Oh my goodness! Just as good, if not better than the first.

I loved reading Grayson’s and Jamison’s POVs. Hoping the Hawthorne boy POVs continue in The Grandest Game.
