Dang this was really good!!!! It wasn't perfect, but it was dang good. I looooovvvvveeeee me some riddles and puzzles and this novel was full of them. It was full of twists and turns and I can't wait to see how the next one plays out!
I saw about half of the biggest reveal coming, but definitely not all of it, which was a nice change for me when it comes to mysteries! My only issue is simply that Avery is kind of an idiot sometimes for being such a "smart" girl. When it comes to ...more

This was such an easy 5 star read. It was so good and so engaging. This has been on my TBR for over a year, and I finally decided to read it. I'm so glad I did and wish I would have read it sooner. I now really want to continue this series because it was so good. I loved all the games and riddles throughout. All the cliffhangers made it a book that I could not put down. And the short chapters made it so easy to breeze through. Overall, I definitely recommend this book and can't believe I waiting

Definitely can draw the similaritites between this book and Knives Out. All puzzles that the author weave thoughout the plot made this a very fun read.
That being said, all the twists and mysteries are not something ground-breaking. So if you go in expeceting some Sherlock Holmes level mystery, you'll be disappointed. ...more
