I am not a massive fan of second-chance romances like I was not a fan of friends-to-lovers before “people we meet on vacation,” but Emily Henry’s writing is so clever I knew she could make me enjoy this trope too.

Emily Henry’s much anticipated book was well worth the wait. She is a genius with the way she describes everything. You could palpably feel the connection between all the characters, especially Harriet and Wyn. This book is a heavier story than I expected about the growth of friendship told through a dual timeline. Honestly, it is not this book's fault that I am giving it 3 stars. I think the subject matter hit a little too close to home right now. I have every intention of revising this rating in the future.
