What Members Thought

this story follows sadie and sam, who met as teens and find each other again when they’re older. they end up designing successful video games together, which may seem fun, but they run into conflict along the way.

first, i really appreciated how sadie and sam remained just friends throughout the novel. though their relationship certainly wasn’t perfect, and they weren’t always on speaking terms, i thought it was sweet how they always returned to each other in the end.

“There's no game without the NPCs. There's just some bullshit hero, wandering around with no one to talk to and nothing to do.”

Trying to write a brief synopsis about this novel is one of the most challenging things I have ever done. I can see why this book as a lot of hype because it was an enjoyable read that kept me wondering what would happen next. I do recommend this one, especially if you enjoy ...more

I hate political books which I had no idea going in it would hit on every single hot button issue out there. Not in a nonpartisan way either and it so absurd it was like a caricature of said issues. On top of that, I hated every single character with the exception of the one who dies. I can’t figure out what’s worse; The book or the fact it had suc ...more
