grr! I hate when I type up a big review and goodreads decides to delete it!
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and the writing style.I thought the love story was well planned out (and made sense, it wasn't just an attraction based on looks!!). I also liked the villain.
I love that all the characters are a perfect shade of gray - none are so good you can hardly look at them and none are so bad you want them dead.
I can't wait for the next one! ...more

This book was so awesome! It was such an unusual book at the start and one I wasn't sure I would be able to stand reading and then Tahereh Mafi has this magical way of hooking you and you have to know what comes next. I loved the romance in it. I loved the addition of Kenji towards the end of the book as well as James. Warner is such an evil guy you want to hate and then you read a journal entry and he sounds like he's a normal guy who might just care about Juliette. I guess I can now say I have

2.5 stars. There were things I liked about Shatter Me and other things I wasn't crazy about. The writing is first person that contains a whole lot of metaphor and simile. Sometimes that worked, and it really conveyed the feelings of the main character well, especially at the beginning when she feels so hopeless; and sometimes it didn't and just became annoying, conjuring up bizarre images in my head, and making me wish she had just stated it a lot more simply and gotten on with the story. In all

Once things started moving along and I started learning more it was easier to get into this book. The concept is intriguing and the more characters they introduce the more interested I am. I love dystopian and I am just fine with the whole 'insta love' thing, but to be honest I don't really feel Adam and Juliette just yet. Maybe its because I need to know more about them, but I'll be continuing on with the series to see if that evolves and to get answers to my questions.

Juliette can kill with her touch. She doesn't want to and she didn't mean to hurt anyone. She is locked up for a murder she didn't mean to commit. Then the government decides to use her power. This is a dystopia. People are starving. The Reestablishment has taken over but they are corrupt and cruel. And Juliette doesn't want to be their weapon. I liked this book so much that when I was halfway done, I ordered the next book in the series.

This book was SO GOOD! Very early on, I was completely sucked in, reading chapter after chapter wanting to know what would happen and find out more! Short chapters (which are my favorite) made it even easier to fly through.
I can’t wait to continue this series and see what happens.
I love Juliette and Adam, love James, love Kenji and am so excited to learn more about everyone in the Omega Point and learn more about that. Even though Warner seems super creepy and disturbing, I’m curious to learn mo ...more
