I wanted to love this. I really, really did. And there were actually parts of it I loved. The writing was stellar, the characters fascinating... but I found it read too much like a YA novel (which I don't enjoy), and I quickly lost interest. It's also my mood, I know. I've been in a major book slump and having a very hard time focusing and finishing books. So this is a perfect example of "it's not you; it's definitely me." Is there a way to give this book 6 stars? I already know this will probably be the best book I’ll read this year! (Unless I read again the Six of Crows Series lol)
This was so wonderful. I loved the prose and how melancholic it was and it is perfect considering the ending.
I loved every page and the ending was so cleaver… until the last page I didn’t know what would have happened.

What even was this? The ending was great, and the meta-ness of it was highly enjoyable, but half the book consisted of flashbacks that didn't tell me anything that was even referenced in the main timeline.. needless to say, I'm both disappointed and confused.
