What Members Thought
I liked this a lot though it was a little slow some of the time and some of the characters were annoying. Definitely made me tear up quite a bit throughout. I really liked Wallance and Hugo definitely grew on me.
If there is such thing as a cozy ghost story, this is it. Our super unlikeable MC, Wallace, finds himself deceased and sent to a tea café halfway house until he’s ready to move on.
It’s definitely a found family story and very character driven. We see Wallace slowly become less self-involved and beginning to care about people beyond himself. Perhaps it’s because I have recently lost someone very close to me or maybe I have just known quite a lot of death in my life, but sometimes there are books that just hit you differently. You dread them ending and feel almost lost once they do. This book affected me on a deep level, one that I don’t at all regret.
