What Members Thought
The writing style of this really rubbed me up the wrong way. I am so disappointed- it sounded great on paper but unfortunately didn’t fulfill me in any way.
I read every single word of this book. You know what stuck out to me the most? The words "lice" and "insect." It's like after I read those two words, I just started itching and itching. I'm actually still itching writing this review. Pretty much most of the other words went into one eye and out the other (you know... kind of like the ear saying). Well... I'm still itching. Anyways, I'm not going to rate this book, mainly because my main takeaway is that I am now itchy. I will reread it sometime

I forgot so many details of this, so it's a good thing I did a reread before the sequel. Roma and Juliette are so great together, yet they go through so much crap. Her family don't see that she can be a great leader for their people and she's treated with less respect because she's a girl. Roma is hopelessly in love and trying to live through his father's abuse. I just want them all to be happy!
I also really like Benedict and Marshall and hope we get more of them in the sequel. T ...more

I really loved this book even with the slow start because when it does start there is never a dull moment and you really root for the characters. I loved the characters so much they were so well fleshed out I loved Juliette and Roma most of all you can see how much they still love each other even with how things turned out between them. What I really like about both Juliette and Roma are one is headstrong and does things the way she wants them to be done while the other is very self sacrificing

none of these people are interesting enough for me to keep going. juliette is a wannabe badass with a „hey LOOK AT ME“ attitude and roma is … just roma. the story about how people end themselves and the possibility of insects doing it is fascinating but unfortunately thus far (70 pages in) is not the main plot. oh well. ...more
