Pidin kyllä kirjasta ja se piti otteessa. Kerronta oli jouhevaa pääasiassa ja tarinat oli todella koskettavia. Välillä kuitenkin koin paikoitellen pientä hetkittäistä tylsistymistä, eli paikoitellen olisi voinut hypätä seuraavaan kohtaan nopeammin. Aluksi pidin enemmän Isabellen kertomista kohdista mutta lopulta molempien sisarusten kertoma tarina oli hyvä ja tärkeä pitää mielessä. Maybe I'm just in a reading slump. That could be it. Or maybe it's the lack of sleep I've been getting lately. I'm not completely sure. Either way, I had a hard time getting into the story of this book. I wasn't pulled in like I thought I would be. Maybe I just had high expectations, so when they didn't meet those expectations, it wasn't good. I really don't know why I didn't love this book when I usually love WWII novels.
