Crooked Kingdom was a fantastic, emotional, action packed, twisty turny adventure. I wish I could I could experience all of the Grisha books for the first time again.
The characters had so many flaws that made them flawless. The fast paced nature of Kaz's plans and jobs. How everything crashes down at the end. The most unexpected things happen. The Six of Crows series was a MASTER PIECE. And dare I say, Crooked Kingdom w ...more

I have waited a really long time before starting this one, and I really didn’t know why… or well… yes, you know? There are so many books and so little time! And there’s always something to demand your attention, and yes, I am really easily distracted and I start a ton of series, but then I am really more slow to finish them. That’s the sad truth! But I’ve finished this series and… wow!

I'm so happy to read this again. This duology is so much fun and in my opinion way better than the Shadow and Bone trilogy. The characters are interesting and well written. Rotating points of view really help you get in everyone's head and connect to them. I also love their friendships and the ragtag crew/found family story.
The pacing is great and I love seeing a plan come together, especially when it seems like it won't. Jesper and Wylan are my favor ...more

I really enjoyed Six of Crows and then I read Crooked Kingdom and I think I love it even more? Is that really possible?
This story picks up right where Six of Crows left off, Inej is captured and the crew are trying to save her. From there, the crews journey grows more dangerous as they continue to fight for their lives.
The action throughout this novel was nonstop. Bardugo kept me on my toes as I hoped that the crew would make it out of one scrape and then another. But, may favorite aspect was ...more

Damn was this a good book. Crooked Kingsom picks up days after the end of Six of crows. The Dregs are planning and plotting ways to save and free Inej who was taken captive by Van Eck. Once again the book is told I all their POVs and getting the insight from each character really helped the story flow. While I loved and enjoyed this book I was not ready for of the gang to die. I kept hoping there was a Grisha who could bring them back but unfortunately I did not get my HEA. The only guaranteed r

Second book in this duology and so much stuff happened!!
Kaz and the gang completed their job in the first book. This one was more about getting back at Van Eck and Kaz fulfilling his promise to avenge his brother’s death.
I liked this book so much more than the first. Probably because we already know the characters and can just move through the plot, while also watching their relationships grow and evolve.

I loved this so much more than Six of Crows.
The relationships between the crew are formed beautifully and the writing makes you whoop, weep and wonder.
Worth a read, I'm hoping for more but at the same time think that story ends right there. ...more

It's a tad too long and I find myself skimming the pages related to some character's back story that I don't care about. Regardless of that there is no denying the book is well-written. ...more
