I found that the characters didn't really develop that much as friendship wise as I would've liked in this book. It took me quite awhile to get through as well because of how wimpy the characters were in the novel and that aspect came back towards the end of the book. However, the action when it finally happened was written very well as the rest of the novel was and that's why it earned the 4 star rating. I also will say I definitely didn't see the plot twist coming at all in the book even if I ...more

Good lord! It's been a long time since a YA series has hit me in a type of way that I can't stop reading it. It's no secret that I freaking love Sarah J. Maas' adult books, but I was feeling kinda hesitant going into this, a bit worried that because it is considered YA it just wouldn't be the same...but I've been loving every second.

I get that Chaol thinks he's doing the "right" thing all the time...but man is he an idiot. While it can be argued that this book is a bit slow, I think there was a

If I were to summarize this book I would not know how what to say… could have been a novella…

It feels like there is not planning plot wise and the writer kept making up stuff with no foundations.

It doesn’t help I find Celeana very annoying (less annoying than in book 1)

I think it was a whole lot better than the first instalment!
Sarah really evolved as a writer and it shows, the story is super intriguing and there’s plot twists everywhere (kind of what I hate and love about sjmaas)

Another awesome book from Sarah! This series gets better and better with each book!
Celaena has become the Kings Champion. She is struggling to be and do what he wants. To not do it is to risk the lives of everyone she cares for,to do it is a risk at losing more of herself.
She will be met with trials and betrayals at evwry turn. Can she meet them head on amd win?
