I enjoyed the telling of how the worlds fair in Chicago came to be and all of the struggles, I think the madman was out of place for the book, and I would have liked a little more H. H. Holmes history. It was a good book, I preferred In the garden... more than this one.

I have been listing to a podcast...Things you Missed in History class....and between that and the fact that I keep picking this book up at the bookstore---I definitely was destined to read the book.

The book is about the 1892 World's Fair in Chicago....a mixture of the building it in the limited time they had....and a serial killer (H.H. Holmes).

So good my husband and I spent the last night of our vacation googling all of the images we could find from the 1893 Colombian Exhibition and the people discussed in the book. Which brings me to another point--audio books need to have booklets with all of the images included in the printed version!
