In addition to being a twisted mystery and a hot romance, Shadow Fall, as Tracers, #9, can easily be read as a standalone. As I am new to the series, I really, really appreciate that. I had no clue who the baddie was and that is just the way I like it.

It's no surprise to me that once I started reading Shadow Fall I had a hard time putting it down. It's pretty well how all of Laura Griffin's books have been for me. Her books are such a perfect fit for what I like to read; I more or less devour them. For me an indicator of a good book is that you can't put them down and can't wait to get to the ending and then once you get to the end you're disappointed that you're finished.

Shadow Fall is a perfect example of how suspense and romance is blended into a a great read! Laura pulls you in from the first page giving you well developed characters that are full of depth and a suspenseful story that will keep you guessing!

Special Agent Tara Rushing is sent to the crime scene of the murder of a controversial politician and it is clear from the start that the local sheriff and his good old boys club isn't happy with her being there. They are ready to narrow their suspect list

Not sure, maybe 3.5 stars, raising to 4.

This is the 9th in the author's Tracers series. I'm not sure what the title and the cover are referring to. The Delphi center is called in to investigate some data that the local law enforcement and FBI provide, especially after a celebrity politician is found murdered.

The heroine was a conscientious researcher and competent field agent, but she seemed to border on some almost-TSTL decisions, perhaps because the local law was still a boys' club and she had
