Forensic anthropologist Kelsey Quinn is on a dig near a Texas border town and discovers some remains that are not so old. Her worried father, rightly concerned for her safety, dispatches Navy SEAL Lieutenant Gabe Brewer to watch her back. Though their relationship has a prickly start, it soon becomes obvious that Gabe's skills are definitely needed.

The set up for this story was excellent, with a few storylines in play that held promise for a suspenseful experience. Unfortunately, there just wer

Series note This novella introduces the characters of Forensic anthropologist, Kelsey Quinn, and Navy SEAL, Gabe Brewer, and provides the necessary background for their full-length book - Scorched.

Kelsey and Gabe are appealing characters and their dynamics are entertaining. It is fun watching them try to deny their attraction and finally succumb.

Navy Seal Gage Brewer was asked for a favor by his commanding officer, Joseph Quinn. I'm a huge fan of the Tr

Read this novella in an anthology. The hero was OK; the heroine had at least one TSTL moment.

I've read the first two novels in this series and will continue to read the next books.
