An interesting collection of three stories written by three separate authors but loosely linking the same story line.
Erica Spindler opens with an interesting and competently written story about a serial killer. I enjoyed this one and would have been happy for her to have written the whole book!
J.T. Ellison came next, an author I had not read before. This section was okay but not compelling.
Finally we had Alex Kava who supposedly brought in the heavy action with her well known MC Maggie O'Dell. ...more

The stories revolve around a serial killer who charts a path across the country. Each author's story is presented separately as their respective detectives investigate their cases.
I've wanted to read something by Erica Spindler for quite awhile and now that I have, I'm anxious to start her Stacy Killian series. Her writing is sparse, to the point and quick paced...just how I like police procedurals and mysteries. I also liked Killian and the secondary plot in this segment.

The first portion was written by Erica Spindler and featured Detective Stacy Killian. It was my favorite section of the book.
The next portion was written by J.T. Ellison and featured Lt. Taylor Jackson. I've never read this author before but thought it was a decent story, though it did suffer from being in the middle of the book. She was only all ...more

I liked the idea of three different investigators looking at crimes that were committed in their areas, which were combined in the system and found to be the works of a serial killer. We have an idea what kind of business allowed him to travel, keep a "civilian" normal job and yet to kill when he felt the need.
