I read this as part of a book challenge so please don't take my man card away. I thought I would have to drudge through it but it is really well written and I couldn't help but root for the young Anne. I was kind of curious about why this is so popular all over the world for so long and I now see why. I really don't have a desire to continue the series but it did drive my curiosity enough to research what happens to Anne. One day I hope to read this to my granddaughter. ...more
