This is a beautiful book, the story is fascinating although very sad, and offers a glimpse of a world, that of blacks in the Everglades at the beginning of the last century, about which I was completely ignorant. Only problem for me, the English used to write the novel is quite difficult, even if it is worth it, it has not been easy to end up reading it.
