It took me FOREVER to get through this book. What a bore! As soon as I got through the section about 'Combray' and 'Swan in Love' began I thought, finally, a real story. Boy was I wrong. It was literally almost 200 pages about him being manipulated and used by Odette and never realizing it. Not fresh, not enlightening, maddening! Like, wake up Swann! Long sentences, huge paragraphs, no chapters. You just read on and on and on about the injustice in this "love affair" and think enough already. I
