A gap filled, another heart broken (mine). I am still not a big fan of the detached, factual way in which Hemingway tells his stories, all of them sad with a few very rare exceptions, but I can understand its fascination while not suffering it.

Never thought I would like Hemingway's style of writing -- the iceberg theory. But I now understand why he is considered a great writer.
