I loved this book. I love reading about history and in letter form makes it so much more interesting.
I was sad to finish reading this and I will try to find a 3rd copy to keep for myself I think. I already bought a 2nd copy to share with a friend and the copy I read has already had a few readers.

I love this book! It's filled with love, laughter, joy, sorrow and the trials and tribulations of living in a war-torn time! It's fascinating and uplifting, engaging and enthralling. Everyone, and I mean everyone, should read this compilation of letters between some of the most lovable characters I've met in a book in a long time!!! ...more

I can’t believe I hadn’t read this book before now. Absolutely delightful. Great character development, which is a feat given the format. Highly recommend the audiobook format.
