Political intrigue, beehive style.
In my *much* beloved childhood fav, The Once and Future King, one of my favorite sections of The Sword in the Stone,is the one where Merlin sends Wart to live in an ant colony, which is a weirdo universe unto itself. ("Hail, Prometheus!")
Oh, I thought, when I picked this book up. I wonder if it will be at all like that. .......and it turned out to be exactly like that.
I learned a lot about bee reproductive biology? Flora was a total Mary Sue but endearing anywa ...more
