I truly loved this book. I'm a big father/daughter relationship fan and this book takes that relationship and flips it on its head. It is beautifully written in the prose that Mockingbird fans will remember. I'm so glad I didn't let the other reviews scare me away from this. Its important to read....

I'm not even sure where to begin with this book. It seems as relevant today as when it was written, and I don't think that statement is limited to race discussions in America. This book reminds us that everyone is human (Atticus and the adults we grew up admiring alike), and we tend to not stop and look at everyone's point of view (even if we all hate to admit that - we may not agree with or like all points of view but that doesn't mean you don't hear people out - how can you change things if yo

First, To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books. This book doesn't come close to that masterpiece. I think it reads like what it probably was in actuality - an early draft badly in need of editing. There are some interesting ideas about how a woman might deal with learning that her idolized father might not be everything she always believed him to be, and how difficult it could be to come to terms with that new reality.
