I rather enjoyed this psychological suspense novel. A domestic crisis becomes a crime story and changes the lives of a middle class family in 1935 England. The ramifications go clear into World War Two. I enjoyed the narrative and would definitely consider reading another novel by McEwan. Just a bit of language and smut.
Pretty good, but a little slow. I actually found myself skimming through parts because I wasn't very interested, and I hate doing that. To be honest I really prefered the movie.
