This was my next aim of something to do after I watched all the eight movies in a row, finish on my sneak preview. I wanted to listen to Jim Dale's audios of all the British-version books.

This first one always fills me with such wonder. The bran new beginnings of everything. The way the trio starts. How everyone is behind their hands about the history behind them, and how no one knows what will be coming.

I can't believe I got addicted to Harry Potter on my writing residency! I know I'm a million years behind everyone else, but I guess I haven't read any books "for fun" in awhile since I'm always trying to read books by people whose workshop I'm in, or for research. But my self-care buddy insisted & then I was hooked ... I forgot how much of a sucker I am for books involving magic, wizards & witches, flying & weird names for things! ...more

Originally started reading this series to escape 9/11 coverage, and was immediately sucked in. Now that I've read the last one, I'm going back to the beginning to catch the details on the second run through.

Reread in September 2007 after finishing the series. Amazing to see where things started after finding out how they end. J.K. is one bright woman. ...more
