This one was definitely better than the first one. I was more invested in the characters and more interested in what happened to them. This was much faster paced than the first one, which I liked, and the reinvention of a major plot point already used in the first book made it a lot more interesting for me. A new character introduced was one I immediately took a liking to, so I had a better connection to everyone involved in the story. The ending was predictable, but tied up the loose ends well

This second volume in The Hunger Games Trilogy has everything that I thought was missing from the first book. It is the perfect blend of the post-apocalyptic environment, further explanation of Capital and the Districts, more of the history, and just enough of the games to make it exciting. I liked how they treated the games more here and I felt it was a far richer experience overall.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as I did the first book, but then again, I didn't really now what to expect out of the first book, except that it was good and had a pretty decent story and was really addictive. But this one I sort had an idea of what the story would be like and felt that played with my head more than the first book. After reading the first book in the series I couldn't wait to get this book. It was another fast read. I think this might be my favorite in the trilogy.

I liked this one even more than I liked the first, and I thought the first was pretty amazing. These are pretty radical, politically.
Another page turner. I really enjoyed this book, the characters, the setting, the struggle between propaganda and truth. I have to say the ending was confusing but maybe that's the point.

I love reading young adult novels. First of all, they are cheaper than regular adult novels. Second, a lot of the time, they are better written and have better developed characters. This series does not disappoint. From the first pages of The Hunger Games, through Catching Fire, to the end of Mockingjay, I loved every word. I read all three books in a matter of days. The entire series was un-put-down-able!
