This book just wasn't for me. I know it's a classic, but I had a lot of issues with the pacing and the language. At times, it felt like nothing was happening, and Herbert's prose was dense and tough to parse. There was a lot of religious and mystical overtones that dominated the story. And I always have heard that this story has a lot of political intrigue, but where was it?? It was too few and far between, and Dune could have used more action in general.
