Not really sure what to rate this book. I actually never finished the last almost 30 pages. Half the time (esp in the beginning) I was super excited and interested. The other half I had no desire to pick up where I left off.

Oh dear me!

I got maybe a third of the way through before I came on here to read spoiler reviews. Hoping that someone would say the plot thickens, the descriptions become interesting or the witch becomes a powerful being.

None of the above appear to happen and I really cannot take any more banal descriptions about Matthew's cold anger, yoga?! or the smell of wine.

Really? The smell of wine as a conversation piece multiple times? If someone did that to me IRL I'd tell them they were boring me, I do ...more

At first I couldn’t understand why everyone loves this book then I got through all the boring technical junk. Super excited to see what happens in the next book!
