Although there were times when I thought the book delved right into "stupid dialog", and though I objected to the book making Buttercup appear beautiful, but stupid ... I did enjoy the story as one of the best of all time. Of course I have long loved the movie, with the screenplay written by the book's author, and so the story was already a favorite. ...more
