Shelves: novel, audio-book
First time to read for John Green so far. As I am used to read novels as audio books these days, I feel like really living the scenery with Miles, the Colonel and Alaska.

The story is well narrated. I like the idea of diminishing chapters into shorter parts based on dates, or as in here, the "before" and "after" thing which I really liked. I liked the sense of humor of Miles and the Colonel. Not to mention how I really enjoyed the Religion class!

First love, friendship, bonds, adolescence, questions, answers, frustrations, silliness, importance, fun, sadness, difference, acceptance, loss and pain.

All the big things are here. The how, who, when, why and what.
The awkwardness and ridiculousness of youth, the good and bad choices and how some of these moments can change us forever.

I liked Pudge's essay right at the end.
And this sentence, 'There is a part of her greater than the sum of her knowable parts'.

I loved this book. I think the character development was great, especially keeping Alaska a bit of a mystery throughout. The plot was steady and kept me reading and the ending was satisfying.
