Amir y Hassan son dos niños de Afganistán que se criaron juntos, pero de clases sociales muy diferentes: mientras que el padre de Amir es de clase social alta, Hassan es el hijo del criado de la familia, hazara. Amir puede ir al colegio, sabe leer y escribir, mientras que la vida de Hassan gira en torno a las actividades domésticas, se ocupa de las necesidades de Amir y de la casa en que vive.

Really excellent book, but I really really found Amir to be very unlikable. I feel like I'm supposed to sympathize with him because he's the narrator and he finds redemption but at the same time... I sympathize a lot more with the other people in his life, Hassan especially. But that didn't stop it from being an excellent book, and it definitely stop me from ugly crying at "For you, a thousand times over." ...more
