The Kite Runner is not for the faint-hearted but is so beautifully written. The last third of the story gutted me. So well done.

Shelves: general-fiction

I wish I could give this book 3 1/2 stars. I recently read "And The Mountains Echoed" by this author. I wasn't overly thrilled with that book. I am glad I didn't let that taint my opinion of this book.

I found the book interesting in both the material and how it was written.

This is one of very few books that made me cry. It is a bittersweet book. Do not read this book if you want to escape your life. After reading this book you might think your life isn't so bad after all.
