Matt Kinler, a PI and retired FBI agent is hired to investigate a double murder. He and his partner uncovers a far more sinister plot. I am glad I persevered in reading this story although I found the plot difficult to decipher at the beginning due to the sheer volume of characters. I particularly enjoyed the subtle Christian voice that was present throughout the novel.
I enjoyed this book a lot! Subtle Christian themes, and the main character shared the gospel a few times. It is like a "CSI" show, with so many rabbit holes that fit together (even when it doesn't look like it at first). I recommend it to anyone who likes the "crime investigation" type books. A retired FBI agent is an investigator, but even with the lower title, the jobs don't necessarily get easier or less dangerous! At least not the jobs in this book. Exciting adventure, for sure!
