I received a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
My expectations were very high when I began reading this story. And they were met by the main characters in the story whom I liked a lot. The story line was also an interesting one. And the constant Bible references also endeared me to this novel.

I enjoyed this book. The main character, Don Lamplighter, is a likeable guy who is making a living by working at WalMart and writing as a journalist on the side. We aren't too far into the book when we find out that this guy is a good Samaritan type which leads him into adventure after adventure. I particularly like Lichterman's development of his characters: the evil Absalom, the good-guy Don and Don's wife, Gloria. There are witty moments and interesting twists.
